How do I upload my files to my account?
To upload files to your server, please follow the simple instructions below.
1). First, you will need an FTP program. If you do not have one, we recommend you downloading WS_FTP. Please click here to browse other FTP Programs available.
2). Once you have installed the program, and you are ready to log onto your account. It will ask you for the following information. It will ask you for a hostname, simply put in the IP address that was assigned to you, if you have lost your IP address, you can simply put your domain name for the hostname, for example X-Servers.com. Next, you will need a user id, simply put your user id in there. Your user id is usually your account name, for example X Servers.
Next, you will need your password, simply place your password in the password box. And for the server type section. Simply put manual detect. Once you have filled in all of that information, we suggest that you click on the save button, so you will not have to enter this information any more. Once all of those operations are done, please click on connect.
3). Once you have clicked on connect, it will take you any where from 10 seconds to 1 minute to connect, depending on your connection, and how busy the server is. Once you are logged on, you will see a number of files and folders. Simply double click on the "www" folder, and upload all of your files into there. And you are done.
That's is. If you would like to log onto your ftp account, then instead of double clicking on the "www" folder, double click on the "anonftp" folder, and you will be sent to the ftp directory.

How do I setup e-mail auto responders?
Please follow these simply steps below to setup your auto responders.
1). First determine what e-mail address you want to use for the auto responder. In this case, lets take info for example.
2). Now, open notepad, and type your auto responder up. Once you have finished, you must save the auto responder as info, or what ever you would like the auto responders name to be.
3). Next, locate the saved text file on your hard drive through your ftp program. Once you have located the file, click on the file with your left mouse button, then click on the file again with your right mouse button. A menu will now come up, click on the rename button. You must rename the file to info, since when you create the next file it saves it as info.txt. You must take the .txt part out of any auto responder for it to work.
4). Now, the text file that you have created is ready for uploading. When you log into your account, you are going to see several folders and files in there. You must open the folder named infobots. Simply double click on that folder to enter it, then upload your auto responder in there. Give it about 5 minutes, and it will start working.
Trouble Shooting: If your auto responder is getting sent to people. But you are not getting the e-mail that people are sending you. The reason is because you must set the e-mail forwarding so that it sends a copy of the message to you. Simply click here for more information on how to set your e-mail forwarding.

To use the FormMail program, you must have some basic html knowledge. The FormMail program is built into every account hosted by X Servers. If for some reason the formmail.cgi file is not in your cgi-bin folder, then simply e-mail us, and we will add it for you.
The html code for your FormMail program is: http:/www.your-domain.com/cgi-your-domain/formmail.cgi Please make sure to replace the "your-domain" part above with your own domain name If I bought a web hosting service do not have to worry about how you use certain functions such as setting up an email.
